  • Biogeochemical and physical interactions between terrestrial vegetation and the atmosphere, on a variety of timescales, including land-use change.
  • Forest carbon turnover, including mortality and disturbance dynamics.
  • Effects of increased atmospheric CO2 concentration on vegetation.
  • Projections of future crop yield and interactions with land-use and society.
