Post-Doc at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Research Branch, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, in the Air Quality group led by Dr. Raymond L. Desjardins, working on energy and trace-gas flux measurements in various environments using aircraft and tower-based systems

PhD at the Department of Micrometeorology of the University of Bayreuth, Bayreuth, Germany, led by Prof. Dr. Thomas Foken; thesis: ‘Quality assurance for eddy covariance measurements of turbulent fluxes and its influence on the energy balance closure problem’
